It’s healthy, nutritious and curtailed just for you!
I have been making pizza since I was little and let me tell you it’s come a long way. It used to be pretty bad but we loved pizza so we ate it anyway.
Since then I have grown so much in my cooking skills that I wanted better than ok. My pizza game got better over the years but I still felt like takeout was better.
So I dug deeper, trying all different ways to make good pizza dough.
What I learned is that it is a lot like sourdough, it is supposed to be a wet dough not like play dough.
But some recipes are way too intense. So I found a much easier way to do things.
Pizza dough
Ingredients:
- 1 cup and 2T water
- 2T oil
- 1T sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1t salt
- 2t yeast
Put all ingredients into your bread machine and run on dough cycle.
Then divide dough in half and roll into two balls and let rise until double in size.
Preheat oven and pizza stone to 550 degrees. Be sure pizza stone is on the highest shelf.
Start in the center and work you way out leaving the outside edge alone that is what gives you your crust.
Keep the bottom of your pizza well floured
Put on wax paper
Drizzle with olive oil
Then put on spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese and toppings of choice.
Or leave off the cheese for a dairy free version.
Bake on a hot pizza stone with wax paper. Turn oven to HI broil and cook 2 minutes.
Then turn back to 550 degrees and bake an additional 3 minutes. So you bake the pizza for a total of five minutes.
Let cool on cutting bored drizzle more olive oil on the crust.
Cut
&
Enjoy
